BEHAVIORAL AND DISCIPLINARY MEASURES

The goal of behavioral and disciplinary measures is to ensure the effectiveness of these measures and approaches. Two such areas in this discipline involve public perception of regulation and sexual misconduct.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Educate the public, practitioners, and students on regulated elements of practice and how to recognize and report substandard care/misconduct by practitioners.

  • Improve transparency of regulatory specifics/differences between jurisdictions through research, analysis, and communication of best practices.

  • Evaluate and measure the impact of regulatory board interventions, including remediation, on safe delivery of care, prevention of infractions and recidivism.
