SELF-ASSESSMENT REVIEW

Continuing competence assessment aims to ensure that post-training or post-licensure healthcare providers remain competent to perform their jobs across a broad array of knowledge and skills. Regulatory and credentialing authorities are expanding their views of the continuing competence assessment process and seeking alternatives to counting continuing education coursework hours.

This paper is currently under peer review. In the interim, an executive summary is available.
